Loose weight Never gain it back

Studies have shown that overweight people have a much higher incidence of heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and many other problems.

As we age we are prone to gain weight. After the age 35 our metabolism slows down and we burn about 100 less calories a day and 200 at 45.If you do nothing you could gain 8 to 12 pounds a year.
We all can avoid this by making health choices daily.

Eating 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day
Exercise and build muscle. Do strength training at least 3 times a week (60MN).

Plan healthy meals and snacks using recommended food servings. Fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

For your entree choose, grilled, broiled, roasted chicken or seafood.

Snack on vegetables, fruit, low-fat cheese, whole-grain crackers, and low-fat yogurt

If you like steak chose lean cut like filet mignon, sirloin, or flank.

Exercise daily. If time is limited, exercise in brief periods throughout the day — for example, three 20-minute sessions rather than one 60-minute session.

Eat 250 fewer calories and burn 250 extra calories working out and that alone will lead to a pound lost in one week.

The food at many popular chain restaurants and in the freezer section of the supermarket may contain a lot more calories than advertised. I take this in consideration when eating out.
